In Spain, it is mandatory to purchasecivil liability coveringrecreational boats. It covers civil liability of €336,567 with a limit of €120,202 per victim for bodily injury (with a maximum of 2 victims) and €96,163 in capital for material damages.
It is also mandatory to include a specific guarantee covering liability for polluting the environment. If you do not meet these minimum requirements, you may not navigate in Spanish waters.
